I'm after a new Blu-Ray/DVD Player.
Must be multi-region DVD as i have a few US DVD's.
Does Blu-Ray come in regions?

Have looked at Richer Sounds, but anyother places to look at?
Looking at entry level/mid range budget upto £200.
But would prefer around £100 +/-
Would like to buy it & use it by next Saturday?

Cheers in advance folks.:D

I know that the expensive Blu-Ray players are region free when it comes to DVD playback but within your budget I am not too sure.

The expensive ones are sporting more facilities and options, cheaper players are a compromise so in essence it entirely depends what is important to you. Do a bit of research and make a short list, post it here of what your findings are that way it will be an easy decision.

Here are a few of the options you will come across and need to decide on,

Networking capabilites
Interface choices
USB drive connectivity
Video quality
Audio quality
3D capability

If your budget is up to £200, I'd strongly recommend a PS3 - as it's a DVD/Blue-Ray player - plus plenty more :). You'll be able to stream music/videos/photos to your TV, go on the internet, connect 3rd party devices... oh and play games if you want to ;).

I'm pretty sure they sell for around the £200 mark now :thumb:.

:blush:TV to old (only has a Scart connector) to connect a Blu-Ray player to!!
So gone and bought a Multi-Region DVD Player instead.
And when i change the TV in the next year or so will then buy a Blu-Ray.

Why did you think of getting a Blu-ray player when your TV was old? If I were in your situation I would first upgrade to a new TV.

How much did the DVD player cost you?

No! :p
It's a 15 year old Sony CRT 28" tv with stereo speakers & 2 scart connectors.!:thumb:
But it gives a good picture and i dont watch tv that much anyway.

When i buy a new TV it will be HD/Flatscreen/3D/HDMI
And all the bells & whistles u need!:D

DVD Multi Region cost £59 and will do until i upgrade etc.
