Pivot Table Formatting

Every time I refresh my Pivot tables, Excel re-formats the Boarders on the
entire worksheet. The boarder pattern seems to be completely random. I have
gone thru every trouble shoot and training section I can find, no help to me.

How can I turn off the automatic boarder?

I have tried refreshing the data without any formatting and still have this
same problem.

Every time I refresh the data I have to reformat the entire worksheet. It's
fine now, but my pivot table is becoming very large.

This is a problem for most people in versions of Excel before 2007. You
should first check the Table Options by right-clicking on the pivot table
and selecting 'Table Options...'. In the dialog make sure 'Preserve
Formatting is checked'.

That still doesn't always work so why not record yourself doing the
formatting and then replay that when the table needs reformatting?
