Anyone try to use the the Pioneer Inno (XM's portable sat. radio/MP3 player)
in vista? The OS sees it as a USB drive, but the firmware update software
can't see it and neither can the Napster client designed for it.

Try Compatibility Mode, right click the Applications executable > click
Properties > Compatibility (tab) > click in the list box, (it might be
greyed out, check it) select a suitable version of Windows > click OK and
try run it again.

If that does not work, you need to contact the developer to find out about
Vista support, patches and updates.

Right click the applications executable, click Properties > click the
Compatibility tab > under 'Compatibility mode' check the 'Run this program
in compatibility mode for:' box the click in the list box and select an
appropriate version of Windows such as XP or 2000 that the program is known
run fine on. Click OK, then launch the application.

I am a computer idiot. Applications? In the startup programs? I am
trying to find it but Im a idiot.

Errm, the startup programs ARE applications, is there some reference to
"Applications" you've seen that refers to something by name so we can
help you out further?

(Vista has changed things around a bit so don't be embarrassed (or
surprised) if you need a bit of help, there's no such thing as a stupid
question - wish I could say the same for some of the answers here :)

Application executable is an icon that starts the program. In your case its
Pioneer Inno so what you need to do is this:

Right click Pioneer Inno
Click Properties > click the Compatibility tab > under 'Compatibility mode'
check the 'Run this program
in compatibility mode for:' box the click in the list box and select an
appropriate version of Windows such as XP or 2000 that the program is known
run fine on. Click OK, then launch the application.
