I am trying to get a windows xp home edition system to print to a local area
network printer. For some odd reason the laptop in question refuses to see
the printer on the network. It can see other printers and system.
Likewise, every other system can see the network printer but this one
computer. What could cause a system to refuse to recognize a specific IP
address even though it is connected properly and it works with other
systems?

The only thing that springs to mind is if there is a misconfiguration of the
subnet mask on the printer or the PC.
