windows xp pro
amd athlon 64
512 mb ram
microsoft networking

cannot connect to internet,
i ping yahoo and it times out
it does connect to the network (i can see and print off the network)
it also connects to the server( no issue there)
the ip, defult gateway, dns, extra address all seems to be valid
all the other computers can connect to the internet
just not this one

it was working then the computer got move to anther location and the network
card got switched out from a wireless to a hardwire (a new dlink network
card)...
my feeling that this is an issue with windows on this computer rather then a
hardware issue.
any ideas with i can try
ive tried: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

Regarding "..the ip, defult gateway, dns, extra address all seems to be
valid..." - exactly what does "seems to be valid" mean?

It wouild be helpful if you posted the results of ipconfig /all.

Sounds like a firewall issue, do you have zonealarm and have you added the
new card to the trusted zone
