I used this little program a few years ago, but haven't tried it with XP.

Pimmy works very well on Windows XP.

In a few days we will publish the first beta of Pimmy 4, only in Italian.
Then we will publish the English version in 2-3 weeks; I will suggest to
re-start using Pimmy 3.5 to get accustomed then switch to the new beta.

New features of incoming Pimmy 4: imap4 support, rss/atom channels (for
news and blogs), individual message read/unread management, cache on disk
to improve online support, increased speed on folders, and many more.

Bye,

Hi !
Pimmy is a great mail app, that works fine with XP (even SP2).
And it IS mentioned in this ng quite often.

Does it have a spell checker? I can't see it mentioned anywhere and I do
not want to spend time on installing it if it doesn't (no, I do not like
TinySpell..:).

Please do not use Italian language in this newsgroup... :-))

We are preparing our web site and doing some testing. Believe me, we are
almost ready.

I use it with XP Helen & for my needs find it Perfect .

I tried using it...but for some reason (probably isp quirk) it wouldn't work.
I couldn't get it to display the ng list from which subscriptions could be made.
I do think it is due to my isp....BS!

Oh well...it's still OE...I do wish it would get fixed (so it's more reliable...
without all the little unexpected 'events'). It's easy and simple to use but not
always controllable. Currently it isn't keeping anything in my "Sent" folder.
Other times it's one thing or another.

This time it's that it isn't quoting properly... ;-)
