Pictures not opening. Little red X. email address

My email address should anyone have the answer to the
question I posted today about pics not opening in
forwarded email.

This is caused by using WORD as your editor and having
your options in word set to "Show placeholder" for pictures.

Open Word, Select Options and poke around a bit
until you see the option, then turn it off.

Using Word is not the only cause. I can't get the pictures embedded no
matter which editor or format I use. It just doesn't make sense. Surely
there is a way around this. I used to be able to do this. And I
occaisionally receive an e-mail with pictures in the message body so I know
it can be done!

Does anyone know how?

(Running Win98SE, Office 2000 with plenty of disc space).
