Picture not visible in Word 2002...

....I have cut and pasted a diagram into a Word document. It is visible to me
and can be printed normally, but when I email the document to colleagues, all
they see is Figure 1 and a red X - why is this and can I prevent it happening?

My guess is that you pasted the diagram as a linked object instead of an
embedded object or a picture, and your colleagues do not have access to
the source of the linked object, so the linked object displays as a red
X. Click on the diagram to select it, and press Alt+F9. You will see a
{ LINK } or { EMBED } field. Press Alt+F9 again to change the display
back to a picture. Re-paste the object using Edit | Paste Special |
Paste: As: Picture or Object | OK.
