Picture/Fax Viewer Edit Button Partially Responds

When using Windows Picture and Fax viewer to view photos,
the edit button (or Ctrl-E) is no longer launching the
default image editor or any editor. It closes the
picture, then nothing else happens. It used to bring up
the default Paint program. Not sure when I lost this
ability. Suspect it may be a registry entry but do not
know where to go.

Any thoughts?

This problem has been reported but I am not aware of a fix for it. A way
around is to right click on the photo you want, then click on Open with on
the opening menu and select from the list of software the one you want.
