Picture and fax viewer

The XP home picture and fax viewer is not working on this
PC. I can't uninstall/reinstall it. I tried
uninstall/reinstall MS Fax service. FOund KB article on
XP Pro group policy for reinstall - but doesn't apply to
XPHome.

HELP
 
I'm having the SAME problem -- "cannot view fax" message
is a new occurence. Nothing has been touched on my pc --
software came from MS with XP Pro. Using Dell laptop
Inspiron 2500.
 
Did you install any new document viewer recently?

Do the following:

On a command line, try the following:

assoc .tif
assoc .tiff

Please send me the results
