UNWANTED DEFAULT FAX VIEWER

Apple Quick Time recently send an update to me. Upon downloading the update,
my default Window XP pc fax viewer changes to Quick Time.

I've tried using the usual technique @ opening 'test.tif' file using 'choose
program' , 'always use' and Window Picture & Fax Viewer however the system
goes back to Quick Time when I wanted to view my fax.

What should I do to set Window Pic & Fax Viewer as my default viewer?

Go to Preferences in Quicktime. On the Browser tab, you should find a File
Types button; tell Quicktime not to open .TIF files and to leave the Picture
and Fax viewer as your default.
