I have a P4/2.4c with 1gb of memory.
When I try to open my nice new clean install of photoshop
7 i get the following error " Could not initialize
Photoshop because there is not enough memory (ram) "
I read somewhere that there is a registry hack to limit
the amount of memory that the program see's while still
having the 1 gig of ram avaialable.
Help anyone !!

Try Edit-->Preferences-->Memory.... and 'dial' the RAM percentage down.
