Photos no longer saving

When I right click on a photo, the dialog box opens and I choose "save as". It appears to save in the location I want, but when I go to that location it is not there. A download manager box used to open and the pictures or files saved fine. This happens when I try to save graphics from my email, another folder, or from a website. I noticed that the dialog box is not opening now. Have I disabled something? I use Netscape and XP Pro if this helps.

I have the same problem- I click Save As BMP, but it
doesn't show up as a preview. Win98 didn't give me this
problem. I even tried saving them through IE the way
they reccommend, & that didn't help either.

Check if Save as, saves these files as bmp instead of the default .jpg. If
so, easy to fix. Go to this site, bottom of page and follow directions.

I right click and choose "save as" ,then the window that opens has .jpg as the file type. It looks as it always has with the exception of the download manager opening. It appears to save the file, but it doesn't. "Show download manager" was highlighted, so I changed it to show a status bar, but have the same problem. It's trying to save as a .jpg or whatever file type the file is. It's just not saving

I honestly don't know anything about "download manager". But you have now
added more details about your problem. So, maybe somebody will pick this up.
Also,it may not be a bas idea for you to enter a new post. Add the details
about download manager so someone knowing about it will help. It is
difficult to help if we don't know exactly what you are trying to do and how
or what kind of messages you are getting from your computer. So try again.
Place a new post with more info.
