When I do this procedure I have 2314 files.
How can I remove these and is it ok to do so.
Please direct my question to the proper channel for an
answer.

I wouldnt remove them all as some of them might be used by your programs.

Look at the pictures, listen to the music and watch the videos. Keep the
ones you like.
