Photo Editing

I recently had to reformat my hard drive and re-install XP and everything else. When I open a picture, it opens in the Fax Viewer which is how it was before. However, when I click on the portrait icon at the bottom, it now opens the picture in Paint. I guess I didn't pay a lot of attention before, but I think it used to open in Photo Editor. I know I've never opened a picture in Paint. When I opened the picture for editing before, I was able to crop and resize and change the properties. I liked it and need to know how to get it back. I am putting all of the same programs back on my computer. The only thing that hasn't been loaded so far is Plus!, and I don't know if I want to put that on. But if anyone can tell me what disk the program could be on or how to get it back, I would very much appreciate it! I'm not a big Paint fan.

==================================
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer for viewing
and MS Paint for editing are the WinXP defaults.

AFAIK...Microsoft PhotoEditor was part of the
Office 97, Office2000 and Office XP suites.

You said exactly what I came on to say.
Another feature I miss is being able to display more that
one photo at a time.
I've searched my Win XP Pro and Office 97 disks and can't
find it.
If you discover how we can get Photo Editor back, please
contact me at (e-mail address removed).
If I find it, I'll let you know by e-mail and on this
