Phone Dialer-Can't hear through my speakers

R

richard

I've been working with phone dialer and I'm unable to get
the phone sound through my computer speakers. I've tried
each setting for the speaker settings and still no
sound. All other sounds come through, but no phone
sounds. I have both a dial up modem and a cable modem.
Could this be an issue with no speaker phone on the
dialup modem.

You folks have been great and I'm gald you're here.
Thank you in advance for the help.

It could be an issue of modem drivers. I worked with the DIALER.EXE
program and never could get it to function fully with an older
modem/software being used here, though I did coax it to work with the
soundcard - once.^

Thanks for the reply. Can you point me in a direction
were I could start to experiment with the driver or how
to coax it to work with my sound card?

Thanks

Sorry, but it's been too long.^ I vaguely recall testing different
drivers, but none succeeded in enabling both mic-to-phone and
phone-thru-soundcard simultaneously. It wasn't worth the effort.
