Pesky Pointer Navigating Automatically!

If my pointer/cursor happens to fall on a hyperlink, or a button
(scroll/maximise/close/Start etc), it activates it i.e. opens Start/shuts a
window/navigates to the link.

This is driving me crazy! This seems to have started following install of
SP2 (probably a co-incidence). Worse in a way, it doesn't happen all the
time, but about 80% of things it rests upon. Thought it might be something to
do with Accessability, but can't fix it, and can't find reference to even
getting it to do this. I'm on a laptop, Synaptics touch pad.

Any help most gratefully received! Cheers

update the driver for the touchpad if a newer driver is

available

You may want to check with the laptop manufacturer for updated SP2
compatible drivers.
