Personal StartUp Folder Recovery

Annoyingly, my personal user startup folder has been deleted. Now, all
programs in the AllUsers startup folder now run twice when windows starts
(am assuming the system is reading the all users folder as my personal one
when it can't find it) so is using up a lot of system resources.

I've tried creating a new folder inside the Programs folder of my account
and calling it 'Startup' but this doesn't seem to work. The folder I create
has the 'documents' icon instead of the plain folder icon that other users'
startup folders have.

Copying a folder from another user doesn't seem to help.

I'd rather not use system restore as the latest functioning restore point is
months back.

Is there some way I'm not seeing that can make windows restore this folder?

Thanks,

K

A registry reference may have gone wrong. Get TweakUI - one of the XP
Powertoys from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

Its My Computer, Special folders page, look in the drop down for
'Startup' and Change location to point to your personal folder. It may
have go set to point to the All Users one
