Personal folders offline

I am fairly new to Outlook. I have placed my personal folders on the
institutional server. However, am on the road quite a bit with my laptop and
need increasing access to these folders.

In July 2005, a useful answer said that one should have the personal folders
on the laptop. How does one move the files from the server to the laptop?
Will the backup add-on do it, and how does one synchronise the the folders
when connection is restablished?

Frstly, i would copy the .pst file from the server and paste it in the
default location where outlook stores .pst files. i would then setup the
data file to connect to the .pst and you will see your mail.

Secondly, pst files CANNOT synchronize. So if you want to backup your .pst
on a regular basis you need to either copy and paste it or use a utility
like pfbackup which will also just copy the .pst on the date and time that
you have specified

Hope this help
