Person Names in Outlook 2003 does NOT work (keeps resetting)

Under "Tools" then "Options" then "Other" then under Person Names {Display
Persence/Messenger Status in the From field} is NOT working
I click the check box and guess want it does not work and when I go back in
it reset it self.

Thanks for the reply Diane

I have Windows Live Messenger 8.1.0178.00 installed and I spend the guts of
5 hours treying to fix it and I got it working again.

Thanks Again. :)

After downloading and installing the lastest updates from Microsoft Update,
it is back to the old way of not showing the presence. :'(
