My wireless card says it requires PCMCIA type II. It fits in the slot I
have.
How do I determine what type PCMCIA slot I have?

Gerard Bok said:By it's thickness.
3.3 mm is type I (mainly: memory cards)
5.0 mm is type II
10.5 mm is type III (Harddisks, netcards) and
16 mm is type IV (Harddisks)
But there's something odd: Wireless sounds like 'recent' while
the name PCMCIA has long been replaced by 'PC Card'.
One other thing you should keep in mind:
There is also Cardbus. Which has the same size as PCMCIA.
(Most wireless cards require Cardbus and you can recognize them
by a copper strip near the contacts).
If your card is Cardbus while your PC only supports PCMCIA, you
cannot use the card in your PC.
