PC World "PC Line" Optical Mouse

Bought myself one for £6.99 or whatever it was. The supplied driver didn't
really do anything other than crash my otherwise crash-proof Windows XP PC,
and I'm having trouble with spurious double clicks and the pointer drifting
in a ghostly fashion across the screen when the mouse isn't used. I liked
the neat and simple design, which was very similar to my old Logitech Pilot
wheel mouse, but it turns out to be a load of junk, rather like one or two
other PC Line items I've bought. Anyone know how to cure this double click
fault? For instance, if deleting an email in Outlook, not only will it
delete the email I want to remove but it might also in a blink of an eye
delete one, two or three others, in a blink of an eye, because the mouse or
Windows detects two, three or four clicks instead of one

It's BROKE! Take it back for a refund and buy a decent make, like
Microsoft or Logitech.

ebuyer does a mouse for less than £1 and it seems to work fine
(without any drivers). If you want a decent mouse (the middle button
is on the side of the cheapest one) you may wanna spend a couple of
pound on ebuyer though.

Sadly PC World do not do refunds, and abuse their market dominance in doing
so. That is partly why I bought the cheapest one in the shop, knowing if it
didn't work I could only throw it away.

The pcworld I use in Plymouth uk refunds on faulty goods. Its part of the
consumer rights act 1974 that says they have to! You have a right to your
money back

Most PC World stores will fight it all the way to the small claims court but
I'm not doing that for a £6.99 mouse
