After loading a new linksys wireless card driver the
system will no longer restart - any idea how I can get it
to restart?

When you say "the system will no longer restart" do you mean the
computer won't start? What happens exactly? Does the system go through
POST and then hang when loading the operating system? If Windows starts
but then hangs, try to go into Safe Mode and remove the driver. Post
back with details for help.

It brings up the Windows XP screen that has the small
green bar scolling sideways. Stays there for a couple of
minutes and then the laptop powers off. I did hit F8
while booting and tried "Safe" mode as well as all the
others and none of them worked either. One of them shows
a list of things and then it stops and I have to power it
off manually. Thanks for responding!

Ooh. Rats. That makes it hard if you can't get into Safe Mode or do Last
Known Good Configuration. Is the wireless card in the laptop while
you're trying to boot? I suppose you tried to boot without the wireless
card in the slot. I think you're going to have to do a Repair Install
and hope for the best. If that doesn't work, I'm afraid the only thing
I can think of is a format/install, but maybe someone else will come up
with a different answer for you. It just seems very strange to me that
this happened, because I've never had any problem with any of Linksys's
products.

Sorry I wasn't able to be more helpful. Good luck,
