pc will not shutdown after 1-3 days being on

my pc will not shutdown after 1-3 days of being on. it
will get to the blue screen that says windows is shutting
down, and it will jus freeze. i have windows xp home.
please help if u can.

Go in task manager and end proccesses before shut
down,maybe something is hanging.Also do all the usual
things,disk clean,defrag,run anti-virus and Spybot/Ad-
aware programs....Good luck.
