I have a cross over cable and i want to transfer info
from an ME pc to a XP pc, but don't know how. need help[

Go to Start/Help and Support and search for "Direct Cable Connection". This
will show you the step by step setup.

There is a network connection wizard in XP that will walk
you through it.
Start/ locate MY NETWORK PLACES, then look on it for setup
home network.
