PC to PC file transfer.

Trying to use the file settings and transfer function to
get files and data from my old PC to my new PC using a
Belkin CAT5e crossover cable. I get both PC's setup with
the software and at the point where you have the
connections try to locate each other, it just continues
to search on each PC and never connects. I am following
the directions presented on the PC from the MS Windows XP
software. What am I missing or can't this be done with
this type (ethernet) connection? Thanks in advance for
any help.

Make sure the Windows XP firewall is disabled.
