PC shuts itself down when playing

AMD Athlon[tm]XP 2200+ 1.81GHz
256 MB RAM
WINDOWS XP Pro

PC shuts down within 10 minutes of playing and only then. Not when surfing
or doing any other work. I have installed SP3 but it didn't solve the
problem. There is no warning or message. It doesn't restart automatically.
Please advise me. Thank you.

Might be overheating, download this: http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php
(click on the SpeedFan 4.35 link , install it. Maybe you will have an idea
of the temperatures for your
processor and hard drive. I say maybe because not all computers have the
hardware sensors which speefan reads.

My laptop shuts down in the way you describe when the processor hits 81
degrees celcius. I blasted some air through the heat sink and now it no
longer hits that temperature.
