PC Keeps Rebooting

I installed XP and then tried to install both Service pack 1 and 1a and both service packs cause my PC to keep rebooting. I can not even log in via safe mode to restore my pc back to before I had installed the pack. The only thing that I can do is rebuild the PC by reinstalling XP. Can anyone help as to why my PC keeps rebooting when I try to install the service pack

After I installed XP - I had the continous rebooting & it turned out to be 'Blaster worm'. Try the Blaster worm removal process. Hope that helps
