PC forgets things

Every day, the same Microsoft Patch informs it is ready to
install so I d/l and install it. Then, the next day it is
back again (like Groundhog day!!!)
Can A PC forget what it has installed?
What is up here?

I you are sure the patch has been applies tell Automatic
Updater to ignore that the file is ready to download.

I was thinkin in particular about the 17th item down
titled: Software Update page repeatedly displays "Update
Now" button.

But you may want o explore other options as well
