I've priced a system that will scrape over the £120 mark (just) that has all the bits you need (integrated graphics, as if they don't need it for gaming it will be fine):

Hitachi 160GB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 8MB Cache - OEM
MSI K9N6SGM-V GeForce 6100 Socket AM2 onboard VGA and 8-channel audio mATX Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Socket AM2 1.8GHz 512KB L2 Cache OEM Processor
Akasa AK 860SF - Processor cooler - ( Socket 754, Socket 940, Socket 939, Socket AM2 ) - aluminium
Casecom KL-201 ATX Midi Tower with 350w PSU
Kingston 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 Memory Non-ecc CL5 Unbuffered 1.8V

That comes to £130.24 inc VAT at ebuyer

However, I wouldn't recommend buying all of those bits as the quality of the PSU isn't known. If you can get a good PSU PSU, rather than the one bundled in a cheapo case then it might be a good starting point :) The CPU cooler is also an unknown, but apparently it can do the job - it might be worth looking at a non-OEM cpu to get the standard cooler though.

I have an AMD 2.5GHz, 1gig ram, AGP 6600GT, 120Gig HD, DVD-RW (new), Win XP (real, but no CD) in a new black Cooler Master case with a logitech keyboard & a cheap mouse.

If you need any more details, just ask.

Take the system and maybe look to see if a good psu ..either Brand new or second hand comes up then the components are good to buy..

What makes me think though is if so many psu`s are like rubbish and defo not up to scratch then how do they sell ??? They must comply with some rigid EU regs ? don`t they
