Tried to set a passwod to an Access Application, used by several users on a
shared network drive. The user cannot access the application with the
password on one PC, but can access it signed on a second pc.

How can the password requirement be reomved?
 
You remove the password to the database the same way you set it. Tools |
Security etc.
