Home networking : The pro that i have is passwording my
network so others on my network has to use a password to
logon to my puter from there puter that is on my network
James,
You don't provide a lot of detail in your post, so I'll guess that you don't
want the users of the other (non XP Pro) computers to have to use a password to
access your XP Pro computer.
If that is the case, on the XP Pro computer, simply enable Simple File Sharing
(Control Panel - Folder Options - View - Advanced settings). Then enable the
Guest account, using Start - Run - "cmd" - type "net user guest /active:yes" in
the command window, on all computers.
And James, please don't contribute to the spread and success of email address
mining viruses. Learn to munge your email address properly, to keep yourself a
bit safer when posting to open forums. Protect yourself and the rest of the
internet - read this article.
