I had a password for my username and had a problem and reinstalled Windows XP. Right or wrong I ended up creating new users and now I can't access my old folders. It says access is denied and when I look at the properties for the folder it says it is "read-only". Anyone know how I can get access to them?

If you know the local admin password or you can make your
account an admin account, right click the folders
and "take ownership" of them and add yourself to the
permissions list with full control.
