Password for ISP keeps getting changed

When I have set-up a connection for my ISP my password that I have set the connection up to is changed

I have tried to create a new connection using the connection wizard but whenever I have finished setting up the connection, the password has been changed to the "wrong" password

I have tried deleting the connections and then setting up a new connection but again with negative result, the password is being changed

I can see that the password has been changed because the "wrong" password is longer than the right password

Somewhere the "wrong" password is being kept without me being able to change it, but where

Peter,

For Windows XP:

Windows XP will mask your password, with a fixed number (16) of asterisks/dots for security reasons. This prevents someone from seeing the length of your password and guessing, b.forcing it.

Do you have any problems in connectivity/authentication part, though?
