Partial Web Page Display

Just received a new Dell 8300 with Windows XP Pro and IE 6 (including SP1).
Many, but not all, of the web sites I've checked have a blank 'strip', about
a quarter of the page, size that is blank along the right-hand side. The top
and bottom menu bars still extend all the way across. Any ideas why this is
happening to some sites? Thanks!
 
To be completely clear about what you are seeing, could you attach a screen
capture of IE? (e.g. select the IE window, ALT->PrintScrn, open MS Paint,
CTRL-V to paste, save as 16color bmp)
Also have you tried changing screen resolutions? Which video card are you
using and do you have the latest drivers installed?
 
Got the answer - screen resolution. Did not know about some web pages having
'fixed width'. Thanks!
