Internet Explorer Question

Hi.
I just bought a new computer (with Vista) about 3 weeks ago.
I noticed there is now a "Recent Pages Menu" on the left-hand site of the
address bar, which, if clicked, displays history of web sites viewed.

However, on my computer, I cannot get these same websites to display if I
click the right hand side of the address bar, like I used to with the old
versions of Internet Explorer. Only the current web site appears, and the
drop down list is blank.

I viewed the settings in Internet Options (Advanced tab), and under "Search
from the Address bar" heading, I have "Just go to the most likely site"
chosen. There is not the option like I used to have that states "Display
results, and go to the most likely site."

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Thanks.

1= Click Start >> Control Panel>>Network and Internet Connections >> Double

On the IE properties windows you will see these Tabs:

Advanced.

Click General Tab, under Browsing History click on Settings button, on the
Temp Internet Files and history settings under History make sure the days to
keep History set to 30 days say or you can increase it as you like.
Days to keep pages in History [ 30 ][v].
Click [OK] to confirm your settings.

Click Content Tab then click Settings Button under AutoComplete option.
On the AutoComplete settings under:
Use AutoComplete for:
[ ] Web addresses <= select this check box
[ ] Forms
[ ] User names and passwords on form
You can select other options to suite your needs.

Click Advanced Tab, scroll down to this under:
[&]Browsing:
[ ] Use inline autoComplete

Then under:
[&] Security:
[ ] Empty Temp Internet Files folder when browser is closed. <= uncheck
this
Click [OK] then Hit F5 to refresh, does it hold the History for long?.

The Recent Pages on the left is sites visited during the current session.
The drop-down list from the Address Bar is only addresses that have been
entered in the Address Bar.
