part of xp installation disk corrupted

my system went down and I reloaded xp windows and when I
downloaded some critical updates. The system went down
again. Now when I try to re-install I receive corruped
for 3 files. ftsrch.dll, ftdisk.sys and fsvgaad.inf. I
know that is 2 question. 1. what happened on the first.
2. what to do about the corrupted files.

Vernice, save all your important files and start over. Use your WinXP CD
to delete, create and format a
