I just got a new system and I'm trying to install XP Pro on it. However,
even before it starts installing to the hard drive, during the part where it
loads all the files that it needs (I boot with the XP cd) it give me the
following error"

"ftdisk.sys is corrupted" (sometimes is lists other files)

I tried 3 different CD-ROMs, 3 differen hard drives, 4 different ribbon
cables, and both IDE channels.

I have no idea what is causing this. I can't find any info on this error.
Could the I/O channel on the MB be bad???? Some weird settin? Help please!!!

Thanks

I figured out the problem here (for anyone else that may have it). It was a
bad memory module.

Cheers
