Parent windows are blank

Suddenly my computer is having a problem with IE. Each
time a new window open, it's stuck and blank. If I hit
STOP and then REFRESH it will load the page. However the
small info windows don't have that there. So it's driving
me crazy when I keep getting these problems. I don't have
a virus nor spyware installed. I have checked a few
different things and even made sure to run the windows
update to keep everything current.

Any ideas on this? Security settings are fine. I can't
do a rollback, Oh... running Windows XP Home.
