my dfrg report tells paging file fragment is 2. Does this mean the paging
file is fragmented? I can't defrag it as it on my system partition so what
does this fragmentation message mean?

It probably means just what you think it means, that your paging file is
divided into two fragments. Unless you hit your paging file very hard this
is unlikely to make any real difference (and it you do then you probably
ought to increase your memory). To defragment your paging file download
PageDefrag from sysintermals -
http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/PageDefrag.html. Its a handy utility
and its free.

Hope this is useful.

Yes, your paging file is in 2 fragments. The maximum possible
performance impact of this, under the worst circumstances imaginable,
would be to reduce the overall performance of your computer by about
..000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%

Paging file fragmentation as a performance issue is right up there
with Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy - lots of hype but
very little if any actual substance.

Good luck
