My home page will not open on my computer so I can make changes. No matter what I do. The nav. and links are ok and page was opening fine a few days ago. Any suggestions?

Try opening the page in notepad, copy the code (or part
of it) and create a new homepage, outside of FrontPage.
Then import the page into FrontPage (from within
FrontPage, File, Import). When in Notepad, try removing
the code that you suspect may be problematic.

Browse to the page using Windows Explorer, double click the file and see if it opens in the browser.
You can also right click and select open with and then Notepad and check to make sure it has the
proper opening and closing:

<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>
</body>
</html>

tags in the proper places

in what case does it not open i.e. when opening to edit it or previewing in
browser ?

Are you opening the web first, then opening the file?

are you sure the file is located on your hard drive?

Could you download the file from your web server to the local disk?

Are you opening the live site i.e. via frontpage using the http:// address.

Is it just the index.htm (default.htm, whatever) page?

Run a repair on Frontpage, do a Scandisk and defrag,

delete *.tmp and *.web files, clear out temp internet files and internet history.
