Page Numbering

How do I leave the footer page numbering for the first page empty, but start
the second page with page number one?

You don't say what version of Word you're using, so I'll tell you how to do
it in Word 2003 and hope it gets you close to an answer.

There are two ways to do it. One way is to go into your footer and under
Layout, select Different First Page. Then set page numbering to start at 0
instead of 1.

The other way to do it is to place a section break toward the bottom of page
1. Then go into your footer and un-select Same as Previous. Then you can put
a page number into the footer of Section 2 and start it from 1.

I hope this helps.
