Page numbering in Word

Using Word in the Office Home and Student 2007 suite, how do you insert page
numbers WITHOUT beginning the first page with a number? I only want the page
numbering to begin on page two (2), not on page one (1). I'll appreciate
your help. Thank you.

On the Page Layout tab, click the little button in the lower right corner of the
Page Setup group to open the Page Setup dialog. Click the Layout tab. Check the
box for "Different first page".

In the document, if there is any unwanted text or page number in the header or
footer of the first page, double-click to open that area and delete the text.
Because of the layout setting, this won't affect anything on the remaining
pages.

Thank you, Jay Freedmen, it worked just as you instructed. I never would
have found it on my own because of how the control box was hidden away, and
