page fault in non paged area

I am having a hard time getting going because of this
error that happens about 30- 120 seconds after log in and
shuts down comp. Please help me understand page fault
error. Could it be residue from a not properly cleaned
after reformatted hard drive that had previous win xp that
I formatted?

The Non-paged area of memory is used for core system code that is so
vital that it may never be 'paged out' from real RAM to the page file.
But something running in there is trying to access something that *is*
paged out (or non-existent). It is very unlikely that the core system
code has such an error, so the probability is trouble with hardware, and
most likely with RAM. But there are some third party items that install
themselves there - notably Norton Internet Security and possibly other
Symantec products. So if you have recently installed something like
that, try uninstalling it and see if the error goes
