"page cannot be found" error after some navigations!

Q

After some navigation in specific sites, I get "page cannot be found"
error.
The same page is accessible, if I try reopening it in a new browser.

I removed all the cookies, temporary files also. Still the same
problem repeats after some time.

Also, I could observe that this problem happens only for some of the
sites. How do I overcome it?

If a site is changing its IP address frequently and stopping service
at the old IP address what you are doing is the correct thing to do.
It might help to change the frequency that IE flushes its lookup cache,
though supposedly that now occurs every 30 minutes:

BTW have you ever tried waiting at least 30 minutes to see if the problem
instance of IE can again reconnect with the problem site? I think that would
be an interesting test. ; )

Good luck

I waited for some time and tried refreshing in the same browser. Yes,
it works!
But, I waited only for couple of minutes and not necessarily 30 mins.
How do get rid of this problem permanently? I need a solution, because
the sites which require login, prompt for the login again when I
refresh after the waiting time.

I feel it should be a common problem which other users also would have
faced it earlier.

Then you probably are just getting it to work because of a normal retry.
You might be able to get the same effect simply by ping -n 1 the server
name in a cmd window before trying to make IE access the site.
E.g. that would ensure that the site had addressability and cache the lookup
which would avoid any other such delays for a while.

Without diagnosis proving otherwise it could just be a symptom of a deficiency
in your ISP's support for that site.

A big problem is that that message is horribly ambiguous. You need to take
a concurrent trace to know exactly what it really means. Fiddler2 could help
clarify your symptom but then you would have to switch tracing off to use
your site or have an annoying probem with certificates while Fiddler was
in between the client and the server.
