"Page cannot be displayed" error when navigating some secure sites

It's necessary for me to use a dial-up connection. I have
trouble navigating some secure sites and intermittently
get a "Page cannot be displayed" error. However, the
error is inconsistent. Hitting "refresh" sometimes causes
the page to display properly. Never had this problem with
same computer and browser when using broadband. Does
anybody have any iders? BTW, Netscape doesn't seem to
have this problem...
