Hi all!
I am using a P4P800SE and looks OK up to now.
I have never liked Sound-on-board but this sounds OK, however it's a bit too
much base for my taste.
There does not seem to be any control of the Bass and Treble except For
Bass-Boost.
Any Ideas on how I can increase the treble in SoundMX?
Thanks all
Regards
bahri

Check in the "Preferences" section, as there are so-called
listening environments listed in there. Perhaps choosing
another one will give more treble. It is a stupid interface,
but better than nothing. I'm looking at it right now :-(

The AC-97 codecs I've looked at generally don't implement
the optional bass/treble controls. I guess that is considered
the job of the "engine" in the Southbridge that drives the
AC-link. The only chip I know of, with decent capabilities,
is the Nvidea Nforce2 MCP-T, which has a DSP block and
supports a graphic equalizer.

HTH,
Paul
