What's the best one?
I want to do games, dvd recording & playing, 3D Rendering.
The more slots & performance the better.
Don't need integrated sound & video on the motherboard.
Also would like serial and parallel ports if possible in addition to
usb ports.

Intel's D875P is really geared more toward servers. D865 is top of
line desktop motherboard. D865P comes in various configuration, such
as D865PER-L with on board LAN, Firewire, 6.1 audio, etc

Asus P4P800 (whatever the version)!
All the power and features of the i875 chipset-based motherboards, at an
excellent price.
