Oversized Print Dialog

We just installed a new HP printer on our network and we're getting an
oversized print dialog on all our Windows 2000 Professional workstations.
It's so large, the Print and Cancel buttons are off the screen. It shows up
when printing from Internet Explorer, Paint, Wordpad, and Notepad. But we
get a normal sized print dialogue for all Microsoft Office programs and any
other non-Microsoft product (and also a different looking dialog). After
contacting HP, they say it's a Windows issue. Our network is Windows Server
2003.

How do I fix this so the dialog is normal sized?

HP could have added an extension to the Common Print Dialog
(windows\system32\comdlg32.dll) which these apps used but Office
applications do not. IE adds an Options tab. The others just have the
General tab. What tabs do you see from these applications.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm seeing the following tabs:

General, Options, Advanced, Paper/Quality, Effects, Finishing, Job Storage,
Services

From what you said, does that mean HP added all the ones between Advanced
and Services?

Yes. I am not sure how this gets implemented, but the result is the TOO BIG
dialog.

I am assuming all the Tabs are specific to the HP driver.
