I'll bet that story just made you jump up and down. "Mommy can I share with
the Vista people the nice story about downloading Ubuntu from the Microsoft
site?", Yes Alias, but make sure to turn off the computer before your nap.
I don't want you to be tired when Sponge Bob Square Pants comes on later.

That's funny!
Also best to get it now while it's still free.
You know, before those patent infringement royalties payments kick in! :-)

It isn't news any more but any chance Alias can JAB at the Vista group, he
will do it!

lol.

Awww, poor alias :-)

Alias, why don't you tell us the story of how ubuntu doesn't really have an
installer framework and lack of driver support :-)

*sits down, cross legged... awaiting for the scary story*

Installations are a snap. Some companies such as nVidia are smart and
supply drivers for Ubuntu. Other, such as ATI, are not smart and do not
provide drivers for Ubuntu.

That's hardly news. It's been on the groups for a couple of weeks.

It was news to me and many others so it was obviously worth repeating.

"Tee hee." ??? Haw, haw, haw! What's that? Your Ubuntu logon name?
ROTFLMAO!

No, it's a giggle and my reaction to Microsoft's STUPIDITY. Your lame
attempt at denigration is noted, however.

So you "noted" his remark. Is he going to be docked on his next paycheck?

Maybe he got confused. The only girls I know that still type that all hang
out at zwinky's.

If they were smart, they would RUN from Ubuntu!

Over Ubuntu? No way. I put Ubuntu on a spare machine at home to see what
all the BUZZ was about. Seemed to work OK at first, network connection,
printing, but had issues with media. Posted messages on the Ubuntu groups,
people had suggestions but nothing worked. Now the Ubuntu hard disk sits in
a drawer.

I have no issues with media. Perhaps, had you downloaded and installed
Automatix2 and installed the media codecs, DVD, etc., you wouldn't either.

After 5 or 6 suggestions from other Ubuntu users, it still didn't work. I
finally gave up. This was on the Ubuntu forum. Maybe Automatix2 was
suggested, I don't know, but it was about 3 or 4 months ago. Simple
problem. Nobody could help solve. They even gave instructions on what to
do, I followed them and still nothing. I decided that even with Microsoft's
issues, it is easier to resolve problems than with Ubuntu.
